Syllabus and Course Details

Timeline and Datafiles

Prerequisites:   Note that the Current Schedule is somewhat out of date

There is flexibility in the prerequisites. PHYS 317 (Introduction to Computational Physics) or COMP 526 (Comp. Methods for Scientists) are obvious alternatives to either COMPE 160 or CS 106. I will assume that you have a good working knowledge of a 3rd generation language, either Fortran 77/90 or C or C++. If you only have experience in a 4GL (ie. Matlab, Mathematica, IDL), you must see me! I may recommend that you first take PHYS 317/COMP 526.
