Practice problem 2A: Using the function gaussvar
found in ranlib.f, write a calling
program to compute the average values of x, x^{2}, and x^{4}.
The answers should be around 0, 1, and 3.

Practice problem 2B: The function ran3 found in ranlib.f generates uniformly distributed random numbers between 0 and 1. Using it, creating a new function which generates uniformly distributed random numbers between -1 and 1. Nothing fancy is needed to do this.

Practice problem 2C: Using the new function you wrote in 2B
above, compute <x>, <x^{2}>, and <x^{4}>. You should be able to
calculate with pencil and paper the exact result, and with sufficient number of
points your program should get close to that exact answer.
