Division of Research Affairs


Student Research.

SDSU provides an environment that fosters research and scholarship across all disciplines. The Division of Research Affairs (DRA) is the central University office with oversight of research management, regulatory compliance, research assurances and activities related to intellectual property development and technology transfer. DRA is responsible for institutional approval of all grant proposals and contracts relating to sponsored research, instruction, and service agreements. This site provides access to the research related services and guidance needed to fully support SDSU research community in the advancement of knowledge and education.





About SDSU

San Diego State University has a highly diverse student population of 33,000 students, including approximately 6,000 graduate students. With 75 masters, 3 masters of fine arts and 16 joint doctoral programs, San Diego State University is currently designated as a "research/high research" institution by the Carnegie Foundation and soon expects to be Doctoral/Research-Extensive.
