Click here for current Physics Positions AvailableDepartmental Chair of Physics.(this position has been filled!).The Physics Department at San Diego State University is seeking an outstanding individual to lead the Department as Chair. The ideal candidate will have a research program in medical physics and will contribute to the maintenance and growth of the Department's medical physics program. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics or related field and postdoctoral experience. This appointment will be at the rank of professor with tenure, and the successful candidate must demonstrate experience in research and teaching commensurate with this rank. The Department offers a bachelor's and master's degree in physics, and has an existing program in medical physics. We have on-going collaborations with local hospitals, clinics, and other industries involved with the application of medical and health physics. The Department has well-equipped radiological and nuclear instrumentation laboratories.
