Dr. Piserchio's main field of interest is musical acoustics. He has been involved in the research and development of high quality loudspeaker systems. The Physics Department used to have a high quality anechoic chamber with associated B & K audio test equipment to test loudspeaker characteristics with a high degree of accuracy. He has also been involved in some psycho-acoustic measurements made in the anechoic chamber. Additional fields of interest are high energy physics, elementary particles, and cosmic rays.
