SDSU Physics - How to get here?

How to get here

If you are flying into San Diego, you are arriving downtown, and you have to drive to SDSU. Take I-5 North and then I-8 East.
Same thing if you are driving from Los Angeles (I-5 south) or Las Vegas (I-15 south): you have to get on I-8 East.
Exit on College Avenue (there is an indication for SDSU on the interstate, it's a huge sign that you can't help noticing).

As you exit, stay on your right and drive uphill on South College Avenue. As you approach the top of the hill, watch on your right for a sign that says ``Aztec Circle Drive'' .

There is a sharp right turn on Aztec Circle drive, immediately past an overpass, and right before getting to a bus stop; slow down considerably as you make that turn, because people are crossing the street and it is hard to see them. If you get to a traffic light, you've missed the right turn. You have to make a U-turn at the light, drive downhill to the next light, make another U-turn and try again.

Aztec Circle Drive is essentially a service road, with numerous speed bumps. As you get to a stop sign with a white building on the right by the name ``Chemistry and Geology'', you have to make a left: the Physics Department is in front of you.
Park anywhere you can, and leave your hazard lights on. If you are visiting the Physics Department, you can obtain a parking permit in the main office (P-131).
